Creating a Basic Platformer Game

In this activity, we had to remake a game and use the skills we've learned from the previse coding activities we have already completed. In this game, the ball must make it to the square but must also go through different obstacles.

To play you must use the arrow keys and the spacebar to get to the square.

Maze Game

In Digital we got a chance to use the codes to move the bird to get to its egg. I used different codes that were provided to move the bird. As levels progressed the character's changed and it also offered more codes the first few levels. This was an enjoyable coding experience that helped boost my coding knowledge.

Community

A community is the place you call home, but we all move around a lot so we visit and stay in different communities, but Around the world there are different communities. They also come in different sizes either big or small, and yes we all belong to a community but if some one was to ask you "what is a community and what is important to you in your community" what would you say? Well to me a community is a place where people can come together and are able to meet new people and maybe in the process make new friends with the many people they meet. There are also important things in our community that we need to use daily like dairies, Te Oro and The Library, These are important because we use Dairies to buy food, Te Oro to celebrate different things and the library to find books you are interested in and read them. This community is important to me because I've lived here most of my life and I've found this community encouraging because they are always helping people around. So what do you found important in your community and why is it important to you?

Empathy Paragraph

Empathy, empathy is something that gives you the ability to understand and share the feelings of other people that are around you. Do you think it’s important to have empathy in your life? Well I empathy is important to have in your life because it does help you understand what people in life are going through each and everyday that they don’t show at school or wherever you meet them. It also is important because you can help people by sharing a life lesson that happened to you that might be similar to what they went through and maybe make him or her share what they have been holding in, which would make them feel better and happier and maybe also help you create a better connection in your relationship as friends. Another way empathy can affect you positively is by encouraging people around you and making them feel like they are able to get through the tough times with help and encouragement.

Kiribati Climate Change

There are a lot of different countries including pacific countries, one of them is called Kiribati it’s in fact one of the top 25 smallest countries but that is not what they were on the news for. Sometime around this week news reported that Kiribati was going to drown underwater because of Climate Change, which is affecting the island of Kiribati. Kiribati people are starting to think there country is going to drown because the richer countries are making more and more Greenhouse Gases which is keeping there country warm and is also causing the Earth to get warmer which changes the Weather Patterns, because of the Greenhouse Gases the Kiribati people want them to stop so that there people can stay and enjoy their culture and there home country together with there family and friends. People in Kiribati are beginning to Migrate from there homes near the shore because there is less land around their property and people are fighting with one another which is starting to make the island of Kiribati more crowded which is why there is not enough space for crop growing.

Science

In this video we had to mix Vinegar, Baking Soda and Red Food Coloring which made it look like lava. I think this was a great practical to show us students how volcanoes would eruptions. We learnt this in science we did this on the 5 of march last Wednesday in the EP 1 science lab.       

Brownies At Tech

Today We made Brownies with Mrs Tuipolotu for our cooking at Tamaki College for tech knowledge. The ingredients are:

1.  1 cup of plain flour
2.  1 tsp of Baking Powder
3.  1/4 cup of cocoa
4.  2 Tbsp of coconut
5.  1/2 cup of brown sugar
6.  125g butter ( Melted in Microwave)
7.  1 egg
8.  1 Tbsp of Vanilla Essence

Satire Writing

Satire : Donald Trump


He separated migrating children from their parents.
He is bias.
He says 1,000,000 dollars is “small” amount
He is building a wall between the mexicans and the americans.
His wife is at least 30 years younger than him.



I’m so glad that Donald Trump is the president of the United State Of America, everyone who voted for him made the right choice by electing him that shows that people really like him. I also think that it’s nice of him building a wall between United State Of America and mexico so that mexicans don’t migrate to there country.


But there's more he also has a wife that is 30 years younger then which is not weird at all because is true love, he is smart separating migrating kids from their parents which shows how much he likes kids. I also think that he isn’t bias or making mockery on people with disabilities. He also thinks that $1,000,000 dollars is a small amount of cash well I agree with that because everyone in the world could get $1,000,000 dollars.


His face looks so amazing so nice and plump, what I really liked was when he was still in the acting business I thought he was one of the best actors ever lived, he is also by far the best, worthies and most well working president that has ever came to be he should just stay president forever.

For this week Room 1 literacy has been working on writing our own satire writing about any on or any thing we want. In this satire writing I choose to write about Donald Trump the writing is saying the complete opposite of the truth.

Move Ya' Body Task

For the rest of this term, my group (Lenard, Me and Kaden) will be working on scootering. We will be working on different tricks, but before we choice scootering we had to choose out of 2 others there were Unicycling, Scootering and Dancing. We also had to do some research to make sure we choose the best one for all of us, we had know idea for which one to choice and eventually we all choose Scootering.

Sporting Success

Two weeks ago we worked on putting whole numbers and fractions into percentage. We had to work together to finish it.

This week we had to work on making whole numbers to a percentage. We had to go into a group of 3 or 4 to work out the problem.

Today was the first time I went on my Toondoo, as you can see I have made someone stand on the Oscar stage getting a prize, he is thinking about is expectation in graphics.

Child Tooth Decay

In this google slide it talks about how tooth decay is getting worst mostly to the kids around the world and most of the kids are 1 years to 5 year's old. Did you know 34,000 kid under 14 has teeth removed due to tooth decay or infection in 2012.  

The Gingerbread Man

The Gingerbread Man

Once upon a time, there were a little old woman and a little old man who lived in a big Mansion. The little old woman and the little old man were hungry, so the little old woman decided to bake a gingerbread man.

As the Gingerbread Man was being baked the little old lady departed the room in a hurry, when she was gone there was something lurking around the oven then the oven door opened and the gingerbread man leaped out of the oven and went to the leftover Gingerbread dough and made a Gingerbread Lady because he was friendless and he wanted someone to love.

When he finish making the Gingerbread Lady he put her in the oven to cook. When she was done the Gingerbread Man opened the oven door and she leaped out discreetly. When she leaped out of the oven she was wearing a sugar coated as her dress and M&M’s for eyes and mouth.

As they were observing each other the little old lady walked in and saw the two Gingerbread's and fainted and the Gingerbread Man and the Gingerbread Lady absconded out the door and made a house near the lake.
