CAMP FREE WRITING PART #1

Last week we year six’s want to Kawau Island on Tuesday. We travelled to Sand-Spit in a bus for 1 or 2 hours. When got off the bus there was pictures of what Kawau Island on post, they looked amazing. After eating our lunch we packed our bags into the boat then we lefted. When we got to Kawau Island we went for the hike up Killer hill. The Killer Hill killed my legs.

My Favourite Part About The Olympics Day

On Thursday we had the Point England Olympics on the filed's. My favourite parts about the Olympics was making the Olympic ring, dodge ball and soccer. My first favourite part was dodge ball,The reason why I like dodge ball was because if you catch the ball that the person from the other half throw is out. My second favourite was soccer because it's is fun. The last one was making the Olympic Rings because it had all my favourite colours and it looked cool

Malo e lelei and greeting to you all my name is Latu. I have been reading a text call Drug-free Sport Logo Explanation

By using drugs in sport like the olympics to help the athletes cheat. In the text I’ve read this good text which is Zero Tolerance, Equality, The Torch and The Target. First we can talk about zero tolerance, the reason the olympics have zero tolerance is so they can understand the anti-doping rules and having Zero Tolerance for cheating in sport. Equality is about integrity and fair play and in doing so, we protect the integrity of sport and the spirit of fair play. The Torch means leadership and the spirit of sport and echoing the olympic torch, this symbol highlights our pledge to be a leader in promoting excellence in sport and our dedication to the values and qualities embodied in the true spirit of sport. Last one is The Target which means focus and commitment and the target also is highlight our focus and commitment to ensuring New Zealand sport is clean and drug free and reflects the focus and commitment required of the athletes we work with to be their very best

I learnt that summary logos are about how people in the olympics use drugs to cheat in the games and that they have these zones.

Want I found interesting is when people use drugs to try and cheat in any of their games to try and cheat to come first or second in the olympics.

I am very surprised that athletes use drugs to cheat in every game that they have in the olympics, and also have anti-doping.

I will like to know more about why people use drugs to and why they use drugs to cheat.

BUSH NARRATIVE

On Friday the 9th of September in our hot and Crowded car my family and I were looking for a place to hunt in.  Then, we found the perfect spot to hunt at. While we were hunting I saw a huge bear.

I went and told my Dad about the huge bear. “Let’s go and get it then!” he yelled to us all in a evil grin.

While we were hunting we lost the path back to our camping site. I yelled and screamed at my little brother because he was supposed to stay at the camping site. When we caught the bear we can all give him the signal to signal us back to the camping site, “Oh well,” said my brother in shame.

“What do you mean? Oh well,” I said.

He said “ I mean we don’t have a way back to the site so we can go back home.”

While we were walking my little brother saw fire coming from a camp spot. We ran all the way to the spot and we forgot where we were going.  Then, we found our camping spot. After that hunt my dad said, “That is the last time we are going camping.”

Using our Muscles

This is a drawing about muscle fatigue. Some facts about muscle fatigue is that your Muscle is a soft tissue in the body of humans and animals. Its main purpose is to produce force and motion and other ones are Muscles are responsible for maintaining posture, physical movement (sitting, walking, eating, etc), and movement of internal organs (such as keeping the heart pumping to circulate blood and moving food through the digestive system).

HIWI THE KIWI

On Monday me and My friend Fred what fishing down it the Point England beach. We only get one fish to celebrate my birthday.

Then I told fred, “Take out the binoculars to see if there were seagulls diving down for fish.”

“THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SEAGULL FLYING OR DIVING!” he yelled. Then after a while I asked him to check again those time he saw seagulls diving. Then we what to where they were.

We started to throw the fishing rods into the water, we waited and waited and then Fred's rod started moving, “WHAT SHOULD I DO!” yelled Fred,

“I DON'T KNOW” I shouted. Then  he started bring it back up until the fish came flying through the air splashing water like a roaring lion jumping up and down the track.

Once it got into our boat flapping its tail. The fish was huge and the mouth was like a hippo yawning, “We should throw it back” “WHY?” he asked,”because when hiwi the kiwi came to school when we were younger they told as to put the big fish back into the sea,” and get the medium fish because they are better tasting”. “Now I know why because I forgot”

Rules for Hiwi The Kiwi:

1.That you only teach it with a wet tollow  

2.Put back the big fishes into the water so it’s babies can grow

3.Never put a fish back into the water with your hands or it will get sick.

Altogether I get payed $12,500 because if I use Under Armour $7,500 and for Adidas I get payed $5,000 so that is why I choose them two.

This year's mascot has ears like a cat and a tail like a monkey.The colours of the cat-monkey are yellow, orange, green,blue, white face and a patch on his small belly. The colours that are on the cat-monkey are the same as the Olympic rings. The name of this mascot is vinicius. He is mixer’s of different and wonderful creatures of Brazil.

The Rio Torch!

The Rio Torch!

This year’s torch has the Olympic rings and 5 layers of colours. Cut out squiggles go from thick to thin in light green (Lime), bright blue, dark blue, darker blue and black . They glow when they light up the torch so that everyone can see the torch and the flames all around the country. Before they take the torch they have to have a ceremony.  They light up the torch, that was in a lantern, into a silver bowl. Then they light it up for the Rio Olympic 2016 torch ceremony.

Did you know that the Rio Olympics start on 5th of August? On Monday 25th of July the whole school came to the school hall. At Immersion assembly the teachers made movies to show us what their teams are doing for this terms topic.

This terms topic is We are the Champions, this is our topic because of the Rio Olympics that is at Brazil. When the whole school was at the hall Mr Jacobsen was holding a camera and Mrs Garden was holding the microphone. To make people think they are filming Mrs Burt.

In Pt England School We have five teams. The teams are teams one,two,three,four and five. The teams had to show or act out what they are going to learn about for this term. The first team up was team one, They are going to be learning about healthy eating and more.

Then it was time for team two to play there moive. Team two is learning about different sport and countries around the world, like America,Tonga,New Zealand and more countries.

The next team is team three. They are learning to know more about the olympic for their quiz in the middle of this term. And they will be learning about sport’s as while .

Now is the best team of all, it is team four. Team four is learning about how the people that are playing for the olympics cheat by having this kind of drugs (LIKE RUSSIA). Did you know that all of the Russians are out of the olympics. Because some of them had taken drugs and they got DNA test.

Last but not least is team five. They will be learning about the country and sport that are in the olympic games for 2016. My favourite sport from the olympics are shout put and Rowing. What’s your favourite sport.

My favourite team was is team four, because they are learning about exposing things in the olympic. Exposing means behind the scenes. In the Rio olympics.   

This Assembly made me happy because of the movies that they showed us. This team I’ll be looking forward for all the games and other things we will be doing.

My Book Review!!

MY BOOK REVIEW!!

Hi I will be telling you about my book that I'm reading. The name of the book is called "Ice Planet Adventure" it's about Geronimo Stictonix and his friends are looking for Doctor Oslo Bonsai and his assistants. Because they disappeared while they where having their adventure at the Planet of Photosyntheson, They went to go see what lived there , but they did't get to see who or what lived there because they got hypnotised by the things that lived there. The things that lived their were called "Pluff" the Pluffs were soft and worm like a pillow that people sleep on every night. I got the book from my sister seini and she's a year seven. What I like about the book is when they found them and take them back to the Mousestar 1 (There spaceship) where they lived. My second favorite part of the book was when they all got hypontized, but not Geronimo, I know because he can't stand fur. Paul Martin Visit

HAVE YOU EVER MEET A REAL COMIC ARTIST? WE HAVE! On Wednesday 22nd of June 2016 Paul Martin came to Pt England School. He came to show us how to draw better and how to make them look real life. When Paul Martin came he bring books for the people who ordered a book from him .The books where $15 and to pay for him to come was $2.Paul Martin teached us. he went to each class and help them for half an hour .My favourite part is when Paul Martin came and draw picture to us. When he came I was scared, because it was my first time seeing a real comic artist. THANKS PAUL MARTIN for coming!!!!! I HOPE YOU COME BACK!!!!!!

In a sunshiny and Beautiful morning a boy named Jack and his friend’s Mac, Mark,Jeff and Don want to a building across the street.While they were walking through the shortcut they all saw a building and Jeff said do you guys want to play Idare you in that building and they all said YES very loured. So.So they want they want up a skinny and very cold leader up to the top of the building.

While they were there they played I dare you when they first started Jeff, Mark and Jack got Mac and Don so they all dared Mac and Don the something.They had to hit himself ten times.The second time they played Mac, Mark,Jeff and Don all got Jack.His dare from all of them was to jump off the building.So Jack Stud up and stud at the Edge of the building getting ready to jump.He looked to the back and said I give you all food and this is what I get.They said it’s I dare you so then he look to the front then someone pushed him.

While he was falling he heard a hard and random sound.He looked to the side but saw nothing then he looked other but saw nothing.Then when Jack looked to the front someone or something grabbed him and flu Jack back up to the building.When he made it back to the top of the building with Jack, Jack asked how are you.And the man said I’m superman,I’m the man who saved your life.Now  why were you falling down the building?I got dared to jump off this.But I asked why were you falling? OK I was about to jump off right so I was going to jump but I stared for a little while,And then someone pushed me and I fall off the edge of the building. Then I like you boys should go home or your present will think something's wrong.

As they walk back home they saw kids playing in the road with their family.So they want home as fast as they could. Once day got home they want to sleep.
